When the family started to arrive we needed something bigger than the bubble car and this fitted the bill at a price we could afford. It was powered by the old side valve engine used in the Austin 7 and in spite of what  people say it did a good job as basic transport with its plywood floor, fibreglass body work and all.

This was the last of our ‘alternative’ transport for many years.
